SPEEDAM conference series are focused on different applications of power electronic converters in electrical grid especially in the following fields: electrical drives and traction systems, smart- and micro-grids, renewable-energy based systems, industrial automation, energy storage and marine power systems.
VICINITY project was represented during the IoT Week, organised by the IoT Forum from May 31st to June the 2nd in Belgrade, Serbia. This event gathered relevant experts from the IoT domain working on Innovation activities, applying IoT to different industries and also the research community.

The ifcOWL - SAREF - FIEMSER VoCamp continues the series of VoCamps covering various topics related to the use and development of vocabularies for the implementation of new services in the context of energy efficient buildings. After Adapt4EE and Ready4SmartCities, the SWIMing project has taken over the responsibility for organizing the VoCamps. The event has been organized in cooperation with a number of EU projects, the W3C Linked Building Data Community Group and the buildingSMART Linked Data working group.
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) is one of the three European Standards Organisations (ESOs) and holds workshops of this kind every few weeks. ETSI has over 700 members including industry, policy makers and regulators.
This was an invitation-only workshop for specialists in the field of connected and autonomous vehicles to discuss cyber security, the threats that are anticipated and steps that can be taken. The whole-day event structure was to have a keynote presentations with questions and panel discussion with interactive questioning. There were networking breaks / poster sessions (CAL presented a poster on VICINITY).
VICINITY project was represented during the AIOTI Open Day on the Internet of Things (IoT), organised by the National Hellenic Research Foundation on 8 February 2016 in Athens, Greece. This event was supported by the European Commission, presenting the ongoing actions of the Alliance for the Internet of Things Innovation (AIOTI), bringing together all active actors of the IoT ecosystem in Greece, both from the supply side (technology providers) and the demand side (end users of technology).
Enercoutim co-organised the Startup Europe Week at its SolarLab facility in Martim Longo Southern Portugal on the 4th of February 2016, which was attended by a mix of local and regional entrepreneurs, public officials and university representatives.
